Manufacturer Description

Innovating Science forensic chemistry lab kit is used to identify unknown substances. Students use their observational skills, and senses, and perform chemical tests on known substances and two unknown substances for identification and comparison. For hands-on learning, the kit has materials for 15 groups of students, including reaction plates, baking powder, corn starch, talcum powder, salt, gelatin, mystery substances, biuret reagent, dilute Lugol’s iodine, and acetic acid. The kit has a teacher’s manual and student study guide copymasters for instructional use, and a material safety data sheet (MSDS) packet for product information and handling procedures. The kit is suitable for age 13 and older with adult supervision, and meets the requirements for Department of Transportation (DOT) small quantity exemption 173.4, and conforms to 49 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 173.4 for domestic highway or rail transport only.
