If you are thinking about homeschooling your children, this book is for you. If you have begun homeschooling your children, but have found that it’s much more work and stress than you bargained for, this book is for you.
(PLEASE READ THIS FIRST: one of the reviews implies that this book is about unschooling. It is not. The same review implies that the author is irresponsible in recommending not pressuring children to learn to read early. The author’s recommendation is based on IVY LEAGUE studies and the experience of many, MANY homeschooling parents whose children learned to read later than age ten, but then took little time to catch up to their peers in fluency and comprehension. Of course if you happen to live somewhere that requires some kind of “proof” that your child is learning to read, do what you need to do.
